The conference programme committee invites you to actively participate in this international event and to submit papers for publication and presentation at the conference!
The programme committee accepts scientific papers on Geoinformatics applications and GIScience concept themes with a focus on the Central Asian Region. Conference registration and submission of abstracts is open from December 1, 2013!
Active participation in the conference is invited via presentation of a paper or poster, or through workshop attendance. Accepted papers will be published after the conference in the proceedings volume of GISCA 2014. Please submit your paper abstract via email to email@example.com no later than the date indicated in the Conference Schedule Overview. Accepted papers will only be published and retained in the programme after registration of at least one author as presenter.
Papers can be submitted as minimum (!) 500 word abstracts at any time until February 20. Abstracts will be reviewed and full papers for publication are due after acceptance by the programme committee.
Authors are requested to submit a digital version of their English language paper in Word (.doc, .docx) format for publication in the conference proceedings. A layout template is offered for download, and it is advisable to directly write into this template. The template has been adapted from the IJSDIR - samples for well formatted papers can therefore be viewed on this site.
The length of the paper shall be 6 or 8 pages (including pictures, tables, references etc). No more than 2 papers are accepted from one author. Please make sure that the paper is of excellent English language quality - for acceptance most authors will want to use a native English language editing service!
Please refer to the published volumes from previous GISCA conferences for sample papers!
A limited number of high quality papers will be invited for publication in a special issue of the Journal of Arid Lands in early 2015. These papers are expected to be significantly enhanced and revised versions of the conference paper and will undergo additional rigid peer review. Expect invitations to contribute to this special issue of JAL immediately after the conference.
